Spring Break Science Camp

Come Explore Science of the 1800's!
March 13-17, 2006, 8am-4pm
Ages 5-15
   Youth will be divided into three age groups. 5-8, 9-11, and 12-15.

   Each group will be assigned to one of our historic home sites for mornings filled with activities of daily living for the rural folk of 1800's Texas, including preparing the noonday meal.

   Afternoons will be spent exploring the science of phrenology, natural vegetable fabric dyes and egg dyes, nature walks, and planting by the signs from an 1800's almanac.

   Groups are limited to 15 youth and each group will be supervised by 3 adult leaders. Younger groups will also have 1 junior leader for each 5 youth.

   A hot lunch and costumes are provided. Cost includes meal and costume rental and laundering.

   Meals include meat and may include dairy and egg. If your child is not able to eat these type foods, a lunch may be brought from home and a refrigerator is available for the safe storage of the lunch.

$350/week with a 10% discount for siblings.
