The Heritage Society of Austin is pleased to announce that the 15th annual Heritage Homes Tour will feature magnificent homes in a mixture of architectural styles from the grand 1920’s era in the Duval Street area. This very special tour is in partnership with the Harry Ransom Center’s 50th anniversary celebration which will spotlight Life in Austin in the 1920s.

Gin, Jazz and BBQ: Austin in the 1920s
Come for a special glimpse into life in Austin in the 1920s, with special focus on the development of the new suburbs like the Duval Street neighborhoods. Presented by local expert Ed Van de Vort. Free, space is limited. No RSVPs taken. Thursday, May 10, 7:00 p.m.
Harry Ransom Center, 21st and Guadalupe Streets. Use paid parking at Dobie Mall or a UT garage.

Swanky Soiree
Guarantee your seat at the history talk by attending the Swanky Soiree. Make some whoopee while enjoying giggle water (cocktails), delicious refreshments, and hot live music. 1920s attire is suggested. Ticket includes reserved seat at the Gin, Jazz and BBQ History Talk. Thursday, May 10, 8:00 p.m.

How the Tour Works
The tour will be conducted as a walking tour. Guests must first come to tour headquarters at 3312 Duval to buy tickets or check in if advanced tickets were purchased. Guests will be given a pass to enter all the homes. The houses may be visited in any order. Please use free street parking found throughout the neighborhood. After the tour, head to the Harry Ransom Center for refreshments, special gift, and tours.

There will be no Friday Night Kick-off Party or Tea Party at this year's tour.
