Mayor Menino ushered in the nations first citywide National Trust for Historic Preservation Main Streets program to support small businesses and spur local economic development. Mayor Menino will speak on how Bostons support of historic preservation bolsters tourism and property values, and attracts the creative class that both our cities seek.

By creating more recognition for outstanding preservation projects and preservationists, we in turn inspire others to carry on the important work of safeguarding Austins heritage.
